Day Pass Fee Increased - Membership Fees Remain The SameEffective January 1, 2017 our Day Pass fee increased from $4 to $5 per vehicle. The Day Pass fee is vital for us to provide services to the public and for meeting our mission. Each vehicle brings visitors that expect clean restrooms and well-maintained grounds and this fee helps make that happen. Fortunately for our members, our membership fees did not increase in 2017. So if you are a regular visitor, but not a member, now would be a great time to consider purchasing an annual membership, which includes free entry. With the increase in the Day Pass fee, our membership becomes an even better value. To learn more about our membership prices and benefits go here. |

Log Jam Playground RemovedUnfortunately our beloved Log Jam Playground sustained a significant amount of damage during the major rainstorm on July 8th. Although it has survived a number of bad storms since it was erected in 1984, the damage to the playground’s foundation from the flooding this time has brought it to its end and it has been removed. But with tragedy comes opportunity. Although we had to take down the log playground, that opens up the space to design and install a new nature playground. Research shows that when nature elements are incorporated into playgrounds, kids have more fun, are more active, and utilize more motor and cognitive skills. In the meantime, enjoy the temporary Hay Bale playground that we have installed. |
